thyssenkrupp Elevator Americas is currently seeking a National Trainer/Adjuster in the Remote.

As a key Mechanic, assists in the training and technical support of other employees using comprehensive knowledge of multiple product lines within the US Field operations group.  Support and training will be done by phone, site visits, and written instructions.  

Essential duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Provides technical assistance to the field organization covering most of the company’s current portfolio via site visits and phone
  • Contributes to the preparation of product & repair process documentation and bulletins for field use
  • Trains other tkE employees technically on products and processes
  • Performs testing to provide feedback to the Quality, R&D Engineering and Manufacturing Plant groups
  • Must be a subject matter expert in multiple components and product lines
  • Works under the minimal supervision of the ITS Director
  • Contributes to OU level special projects and other duties as assigned (project teams)
  • Contributes IoT data analytics activities for tkE employees and/or customers as required
  • Proactively develop solutions for sick unit or portfolios through IoT data and advise branch operations
  • ANSI Codes & Standards support
  • Travel up to 75%

Your profile

  • Fifteen (15) years or more equivalent elevator work experience required
  • IUEC card and mechanic’s license
  • NEIEP or NEII Certification
  • OSHA 10hr Certificate
  • Quality System Training
  • Must have the ability to work independently with little direct supervision
  • Strong work experience or education in more than one of the following: hydraulics, static motor drives, microprocessors, machines, electronics and IoT data
  • Experience working with Quality management & tracking systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work with test equipment and hand tools as required
  • Demonstrated exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated strong decision making and analytical skills
  • Possess the ability to effectively communicate; written and verbally
