With roughly 7,000 employees at 18 production sites in seven different countries, thyssenkrupp Forged Technologies has sales of over one billion euros and operates over 50 forging press lines and more than 150 machining and assembly lines in seven countries. The product portfolio includes undercarriage systems for heavy machinery as well as crankshafts, connecting rods, pistons, chassis products, transmission systems and rotor shafts for the automotive industry.

Your responsibilities

Summary

The Maintenance Team Leader reports to the Corrective Maintenance Group Leader and is responsible for establishing maintenance priorities and coordinating maintenance staff for machine repairs.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Managing and directing maintenance and electronics techs
  • Maintaining updates on maintenance repairs
  • Ensuring maintenance issues are addressed  

Specific Responsibilities of the Job

  • Track machines down on the production lines
  • Coordinate members of maintenance staff for work on down machines
  • Determine if down machine requires mechanical or electrical staff
  • Communicate with other shift leaders
  • Communicate with production to establish maintenance priorities
  • Provide updates on repairs, track recurring issues, and devise daily downtime reports
  • Assist in diagnosing, troubleshooting, updating and repairing malfunctioning plant equipment
  • Other responsibilities and projects as specified

Your profile

Qualifications

  • Education/Credentials/Certifications/Length of Experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology or related field with 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment

Or

  • Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or related field with 6-8 years of supervisory experience in a technical field in a manufacturing environment

Or

  • 8-10 years of supervisory experience in a technical field in a manufacturing environment

 

  • Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
    • Understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics
    • Knowledge of machine controls and operation
    • High level of mechanical and electrical aptitude
    • Knowledge of fabrication
    • Excellent communication skills
