Your responsiblities

We are looking for a Truck Driver to deliver products to Manhattan from Orangeburg, NY. Our employees are to provide timely delivery of product to our customers while representing thyssenkrupp in a positive manner by giving our  customers quick, precise, helpful, courteous, and professional delivery services. 

  • Verify that correct items are loaded on the truck for delivery
  • Ensure that material is properly protected from the outdoor elements
  • Deliver product and proper paperwork to our customers in a courteous and timely manner
  • Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift
  • Adhere to any process and procedures related to Fleet Optimization as amended
  • Perform periodic inspections before, during, and after delivery to ensure that load is properly fastened down and is secure
  • Verify that correct items are loaded on the truck for delivery
  • Ensure that material is properly protected from the outdoor elements
  • Provide feedback to supervision regarding customer problems, mechanical problems, or delivery problems on returned proof of delivery sheets (load sheet)
  • Assist in activities related to lean and/or quality.
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts if needed
  • Train others when required.

Your profile

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Class A CDL
  • 3 years of experience preferred
  • Manhattan delivery experience preferred
