Your responsibilities

thyssenkrupp Aerospace NA  is looking for a Buyer who will  manage product responsibilities including: purchasing, quoting, expediting, de-expediting and tactical supply chain management.

Key Accountabilities

  • Inventory Replenishment
  • Review Customer PO, Customer Forecast & Historical Usage
  • Identify inventory support plan
  • Inventory Management
  • Maintain Min/Max Levels
  • Identify Obsolete & Excess Inventory
  • Optimize inventory
  • Coordinate Supply schedule with Operations 
  • Adjust for branch capacity constraints
  • React and support TMX Sales and Management requests
  • Ensuring all orders are placed in a timely manner
  • Ensuring requests for support are worked and responded to within department guidelines
  • Responding & resolving questions and issues
  • Root Cause Analysis on non-support items
  • Potential issues.
  • Status of workload (backlog, special projects, etc)

Your profile

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Knowledge of purchasing procedures- normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management or other closely related fields.
  • Work requires a general understanding of company policies and procedures and the individual to maintain accurate records and files.
  • Work requires a basic understanding of supplier and general mill capabilities.  This can be acquired in 6-12 months through training and experience.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate and work on day-to-day basis with purchasing mill contacts and internal customers.

 Preferred Requirements: 

  • 2-5 years inventory management experience
