Your responsibilities

  • In this role, you will be the global process owner for contract engineering processes who will support Operating Units (OUs) to define the right degree of automation and other measures in order to improve the lead-time of the contract engineering to the benchmark level
  • You will coordinate the implementation of the global product configurator CONFIGIT, define the global use cases and act as the contact person for business topics towards external vendors
  • Moreover, you will be the global business process owner as well as advisory board member for manufacturing in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) “Windchill” and provide advice for PLM programs, ensure Business Unit (BU) requirements are taken into consideration and support the implementation according the roll-out plan
  • You will define the manufacturing usage of the future CAD tools for electrical- and mechanical contract engineering
  • You will support the function Group Processes & Information Technology (GPI) in future road map definition for PLM, product configurator and CAD tools
  • You will ensure lessons learned between the contract engineering organizations and support the process optimization related to global templates
  • You will create and coordinate internationals team for the implementation phase and execute steering team meetings
  • You will continuously control and realign the desired project targets states and results with the help of operational key performance indicators
  • Lastly, you will collaborate closely with process experts in Customer Service Centers, Manufacturing Centers as well as corporate functions such as IT, R&D, PLM and Field 

Your profile

  • You completed a Master or Diplom in Engineering, computer science or related field
  • You can prove at least 5 years of working experience in a global manufacturing and/or field environment with comprehensive knowledge of contract engineering processes
  • You would bring in depth knowledge in parametric design processes, configurable parts and 3D modelling
  • You have 5 years of working experience with SAP, especially with KMAT materials
  • In addition, you are familiar with complex product configuration tools and PLM systems
  • You gained experience in transformation programs in large global manufacturing organizations
  • You have the ability to work in a matrix structured organization and able to lead multicultural, cross functional teams
  • You would bring in strong communication and social skills paired with a solution-oriented approach
  • You consider yourself as a highly motivated self-starter who wants to take on responsibility
  • You like to travel intensively and are
  • Fluent in English and German. A third foreign language (Spanish or Chinese) would be of advantage
