Your responsibilities

The Quality Manager is the leader of the Quality team at thyssenkrupp Camshafts. Specifically responsible for directly managing the team, ensuring support and resources are available, coordinating and directing efforts to support internal and external customers. The Quality Manager leads a team dedicated to Quality excellence through the control of processes, proper root cause identification, supplier excellence and customer satisfaction.

Additionally, the Quality Manager is a member of the highly collaborative thyssenkrupp Camshafts Leadership Team. This team focuses on campus leadership in a challenging, fun and fast paced environment.

The Quality Manager serves as an engaged and trusted source in the organization. Success in this role is measured by the achievement of Quality KPIs, the development of Quality Team members and the satisfaction of thyssenkrupp customers. Key deliverables to ensure success are listed below:

  • Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same.
  • Understands & provides guidance to support ISO/TS 16949 Quality Management System.
  • Development and monitoring of quality objectives complementary to company objectives and quality budgets and expenditures.
  • Development, implementation, and monitoring of quality engineering training programs.
  • Plan, initiate, support, monitor and manage customer / supplier; visits, audits, training, APQP, error-proofing, launch readiness, PPAP, IMDS, change notices, deviations, complaints, corrective action plans, charge backs, and other any other quality related activities.
  • Plan, support, monitor and manage supplier incoming inspection program activities.
  • Facilitates communication between PDAN and customers / suppliers.
  • Keeps management team abreast of significant quality issues or developments and the actions being taken to improve.
  • Perform an active role on quality management teams within the organization.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of industry standards and practices.
  • Supports serial production and product quality activities.
  • Authorizes product deviation requests as needed.
  • Facilitates and leads Correction Action activities for internal & external complaints
  • Leads reporting activities for the following: Scrap & Rework Costs, Weekly Quality Report, QOS Monthly Report.
  • Leads Lessons Learned activities internally and with the supply base
  • Participates in customer / supplier visits when needed.
  • Participates in monthly quality activities.
