The Europe Africa Business Unit is the second-largest of thyssenkrupp Elevator’s four Business Units. This regional unit handles the sale, installation and servicing of elevators, escalators and moving walks. The Business Unit’s Headquarters – thyssenkrupp Elevator Europe Africa – is located in Essen, Germany, from where it coordinates activities in Germany, France, the British Isles, Austria, Switzerland, the Benelux countries, Scandinavia, Iberia, Italy, Turkey, Eastern Europe and Africa. In fiscal 2016/2017 the Business Unit had about 15,000 employees and generated sales of 2.1 billion euros in 31 countries. Your responsibilities

As Business Associate/Board Assistant you are part of the Human Resources Development (HRD) department and report directly to the CHRO of the Business Unit.

  • In your role you will provide substantive and structural support to the CHRO
  • You will prepare presentations, analyses and decision papers for different target audiences (e.g. workers council, Executive Board)
  • You will provide project management to key HR initiatives, i.e. support with initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing HR-related projects, using defined and PM standard processes
  • Your tasks include conceptual preparation and follow-up of relevant topics including reviews and research activities
  • You will use your knowledge to build efficient timelines, document and track project progress and offer recommendations for continual improvements to ensure deliverables are achieved
  • You will cooperate with colleagues from all over Europe

 

Your profile

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Business, Psychology, or related field required; preferably with focus in Human Resources
  • 2-3 years professional experience and profound working knowledge of project management; preferably worked for a consultancy
  • Proven analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High performance orientation and strong conceptual and problem solving skills
  • Resilient personality
  • Very good English language skills; knowledge of an additional foreign language relevant for the Europe Africa region preferable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
