Your responsibilities

Summary:

 

Establishes, adheres, and monitors reorder points for inventoried items and materials kept within maintenance department’s tool crib. Assures items and materials are restocked at appropriate times, obtains quotes for new maintenance requirements, and receives newly arrived items for department use. Administers all MRO repair services within facility. Maintains tool crib business activities by initiating appropriate forms/reports, physical security /orderliness / appearance, procurement / pick-up from local vendors, and tracks item and material usage. Maintains timely two-way vendor communication on related goods. Occasionally assists maintenance technicians with non-skilled activities arising from maintenance actions.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same.
  • Establishes, adheres and monitors reorder points for inventoried items and materials kept within department’s tool crib.
  • Reorders items and materials at appropriate points based upon historical analysis of usage and forward planning based upon scheduled activities. Ensures an in-stock condition of all routine usage items and materials thru reorder points.
  • Obtains quotes for new maintenance requirements, utilizing approved purchasing quotation practices. Performs like activities for MRO repair services within the facility.
  • Receives maintenance shipments from logistics, audits and enters items and materials into tool crib inventory. Operates powered equipment in transporting received goods to tool crib.
  • Locates, procures, and picks-up of goods from local vendors as required.
  • Maintains tool crib business activities to include, goods received, issued and reordered. Responsible for physical security, orderliness, and appearance of tool crib. Locates and periodically inventories assets of tool crib for easy identification and audit.
  • Maintains timely two-way communication with vendors, relaying appropriate information internally as required.
  • Recommends changes or modifications for efficiency and adaptability to MRO and SAP systems.
  • Consults with other maintenance personnel regarding supplies required for new equipment and other vendor services.
  • Maintains schematics, prints, and manuals regarding equipment repair or vendor services.
  • Analyzes written specifications, drawings, rough sketches, and verbal instructions to plan for future maintenance support needs.
  • Operates powered equipment in compliance with federal, state, and internal company mandates.
  • Assists maintenance technicians in non-skilled activities as required.
  • Ensures compliance and safety of all activities within the organization policies.
  • Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Your profile

Qualifications & Experience:

 

  • Experience in forcasting, demand planning, scheduling, and inventory management tools and concepts necessary to analyze optimal placement of materials required.
  • Expereince working effectively with customers to clarify requirements and negotiate solutions when constraints exist.
  • Possesses a stable work history and a strong personal desire to work safely and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working with large ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Accuracy and efficiency when completing data entry tasks.
  • Demonstrate ability to balance conflicting priorities in order to manage workflow, ensure the completion of essential projects, and meet critical deadlines.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Highly organized with ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Exhibits integrity through fair and ethical behaviors in all activities; maintains accountability for performance.
  • Strong attention to detail with well-developed organizational and communication skills.
