Your responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Adheres to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices, and ensures that all equipment is in safe operating condition and meets or exceeds OSHA Standards
Establishes and manages project plans, deliverables, milestones and team member responsibilities for new projects to ensure the timely, cost-effective execution for all assigned projects
Monitors the performance of team members. Provides coaching, guidance and feedback to assure that key milestones are met and that the work product meets appropriate standards
Maintains program timelines and an open issue log for the AM. Takes corrective action as necessary to address issues and escalates as necessary
Collaborates effectively with product development, project management, purchasing, quality, process engineering, controlling, logistics and production to ensure on-time delivery of new products
Keeps Operations Management, Production Unit Leaders, Plant Management, etc. updated regarding progress, issues, or corrective actions relating to assigned projects in interdisciplinary teams. Supports the APQP process by participating in both the plant and corporate APQP, Control Plan & FMEA activities and floor layouts
Coordination & Supervision of 1st production submissions/builds
Monitors and directs the manufacturing release process throughout all facilities and production units for an on time delivery
Responsible for ensuring that all machinery associated with the product launch is working as designed, in place, within capacity and capable of producing at required time to meet production requirements
Ensures that all production staff assigned to new program launches are trained and capable of executing the production of the assigned new product
Performs and analyzes root cause analysis, time studies and production capability. Creates process efficiencies when needed
Assists in error analysis and corrective actions of deviations in collaboration with Quality
Setup & maintenance of master data in production systems including SAP, project tools, and Product Identification Systems
Performs all other functions as required; included are any work assignments relating to the efficient flow of work within the AM

Qualifications & Experience:
Maintains a team-oriented working environment that allows for individual differences and provide for individual growth
Ability to influence outcomes through situational leadership and collaboration
Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, policies and procedure manuals and operating instructions
Strong knowledge and use of computer software to include Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, MES, Project Tool, etc.
Problem solving capabilities – both manufacturing, numerical and financial
Strong working knowledge of AM machinery used in the production of dampers
Knowledge of equipment, tooling processes and quality requirements
Proven ability to read blueprints, understand tolerances and stack up conditions
Proven success managing multiple projects and setting staff priorities
Knowledge of customer launch requirements and PPAP procedures
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Concepts and Principles such as Bilstein Production System
Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks and adjust to changing schedules and priorities; maintain organization in a changing environment, and maintain flexible attitude & approach towards work
Possesses and demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills
Must possess and demonstrate excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication
Advanced organizational, prioritization and analytical skills are required
Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
