Our Strategy & Organisation is a young and dynamic team within the corporate function Strategy, Markets & Development of the Business Area Components Technology. We are based at our group headquarters in Essen and are covering a variety of market, customer and competitor topics, gather information and provide valuable insights to our stakeholders. In our day-to-day life, we collaborate closely with our strategy and business excellence colleagues across all of Component Technologies business units to jointly drive topics.

Your responsibilities

  • Support our Market Intelligence team through market, customer and competitor analysis as well as creating own studies for individual topics.
  • Assist our business area by providing regular information to the current press landscape through our weekly press review and continuous market screening.
  • Support strategic and conceptual special topics for the Business Area board and top management as well as the preparation of team meetings and management presentations.
  • Collaborate with the Market Intelligence network to leverage insights from adjacent Business Areas and their respective Business Units.
  • Build a thorough stakeholder network across businesses and regions to drive and further expand the successful development of Market Intelligence initiatives.

Your profile

  • You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s (at least 3rd year) or master’s degree in the field of business administration, marketing and sales, industrial engineering or a related discipline.
  • You ideally bring along first professional experience, e.g. a previous internship in a leading strategy consulting firm or an international industrial company (favorable with automotive background).
  • You have a passion for automotive and industry topics and feel comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where you’ll need both conceptual and implementation skills.
  • You are dynamic, open-minded and apply these qualities effectively to solve complex problems and proactively design new solutions.
  • You have a confident and convincing appearance and interact successfully with both top management and operative colleagues on the ground.
  • You possess good communication skills; you are fluent in English and German and you have time to support us for at least three months.
