Your responsibilities

thyssenkrupp Elevator Corporation is seeking a Quality Program Manager for its Alpharetta, GA office. The thyssenkrupp Elevator Americas Quality Program Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining a systemic quality focus utilizing Six Sigma tools and methodologies focused primarily on quality management system process improvements and documentation across North America.  This is to be achieved by implementing and maintaining a quality function partnership with geographically distributed business functions.

  • Provide technical and process expertise to teams and customers
  • Develop strong relationships with functional clients to ensure support and achievement of strategic objectives
  • Deliver against quality metrics as defined by the business
  • Realize gains by leading Lean Six Sigma process improvement projects, and supporting Lean Six Sigma project teams to achieve and sustain improvements
  • Support the creation of and/or create and development of business process documentation and supporting documentation which include processes, policies, procedures, references, instructions, navigations, codes, forms, manuals, guides, job aids and related/required documentation
  • Leads business operations teams, documentation development teams and subject matter experts (SMEs) in data gathering, review, approval and revision of business process documentation and supporting documentation ensuring that business operations objectives and best practices are achieved
  • Drive problem solving rigor and corrective action plans around quality escapes and nonconformance trends associated with Quality Management System, QMS findings
  • Performs quality process control and ensures accurate application of roles, responsibilities and distribution protocol for all Standard Operating Procedures and supporting documentation
  • Train, lead and mentor process owners in effective process ownership practices and documentation maintenance imperatives
  • Assure audit of areas of responsibility for conformance to quality plans, systems and requirements 
  • Partner with the regional, functional, manufacturing, field service…etc. teams to drive quality improvements across the business globally
  • Work as a partner with functions outside of quality on all QMS related issues including gathering organizational support for the QMS
  • Serves as thyssenkrupp Elevator Americas quality team representative for assigned business programs, projects or processes that have failed to meet the business expectations of performance providing support and leadership including deep dives into processes utilizing established methodologies including Lean Six Sigma, root cause investigation tools, process mapping, and compliance audits
  • Prepares and presents updates on key projects during operating rhythm determined by the business
  • Enforcing and promoting quality assurance process frameworks, procedures, policies and standards
  • Quality Management System Reviews - Report to top management on the performance of the quality management system and any needs for improvement

 

 

Your profile

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
  • Black Belt certification preferred
  • Project Management Professional experience preferred
  • Internal Auditor certification with ISO knowledge preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of quality management/team lead responsibility
  • Data analysis experience preferred
  • Ability to travel internationally

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Experience managing a Lean Six Sigma team and experience in functional area (operations, etc.)
  • Through knowledge of continuous/process improvement methodologies such as DMAIC, Lean, DFSS/process design, process management and change management.
