Your responsibilities

To manage product responsibilities including: purchasing, quoting, expediting, de-expediting and tactical supply chain management.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Quote and support sales contracts
  • Convert Purchase Requisitions to purchase orders
  • Utilizes systemic tools to purchase, schedule, and replenish inventory items to meet stated inventory objectives
  • Understand supply chain to effectively balance asset management and customer requirements
  • Manage supply chain to schedule material to meet stated inventory objectives
  • Establish supplier relationships with supplier sales management
  • Awareness of the global supply base
  • Prepare and participate in supplier reviews
  • Understanding of company and departmental objectives
  • Work with sales to evaluate risk and review alternatives on contractual business
  • General understanding of internal processing equipment
  • Active involvement with selling organization to support sales growth
  • Work with the Product Managers and the supply based management on tactical negotiations
  • Effectively communicate with both internal customers and the supply base

Your profile

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelors’ degree 
  • Work requires a general understanding of company policies and procedures and the individual to maintain accurate records and files
  • Work requires an understanding of supplier and general mill capabilities
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate and work on day-to-day basis with purchasing mill contacts and internal customers
  • Minimum 18 months of purchasing experience

 Preferred Requirements: 

  • Bachelors’ degree in Supply Chain Management or other closely related fields
  • A minimum of 3 years purchasing experience
  • Proficiency in SAP and TKMNA business systems
