thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers (tkUCE) is a joint venture between thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions and Industrie De Nora. It has been established in April 2015 by integrating the electrolysis plant businesses of the formerly separated entities thyssenkrupp Electrolysis, UHDENORA and Chlorine Engineers. The majority shareholder is thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions. thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers offers as the world market leader technologies and comprehensive solutions for high-efficiency electrolysis plants and is now going to market with its new technologies for energy storage and hydrogen production. Ihre Aufgaben

  • You will head our business subfield “Energy Storage and Hydrogen (ESS+H2)” which has been built up for the commercialization of our new technologies Vanadium Redox-Flow Battery (RFB) and Alkaline Water Electrolysis (AWE) in the fast growing markets of renewable energy storage, green hydrogen and green chemicals.
  • The segment ESS + H2 is part of the local tkUCE Germany entity and you will report directly to the Management Board of tkUCE.
  • You will be responsible to start-up the business in regards to business development, sales, product development, supply chain and the product-driven project execution according to the order intake, sales and EBIT targets set-out in the business plan.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining and further developing tkUCE’s world-wide energy storage and hydrogen network consisting of potential clients, investors, government institutions, associations and initiatives in the energy field.
  • You will be responsible of maintaining and further developing tkUCE’s world-wide Business Development and Sales organization and establishment of Sales channels through tk’s regional organizations and strategic partners.
  • You will be responsible to explore and secure market opportunities and to build up market intelligence in the field of ESS + H2 and green chemicals.
  • You will proactively and creatively initiate analyses of possible alternative options, optimize solutions for tkUCE and our clients and define market requirements for business models and tkUCE’s product management.
  • Together with your team you will further develop the supply chain for the AWE cells and modules and develop concepts for scale-up.
  • Together with your team you will have to carry out and monitor cost reduction programs for all components and works in order to meet market requirements and secure profitable sales.
  • You will be in charge of further advancing the technologies according to the market needs and the product management for the whole product life cycle incl. service.

  • You are a most customer- and market-oriented person, with good knowledge of the energy markets incl. the market drivers, players and their strategies
  • You are familiar with the ESS and/or H2 technology and/or green chemicals or capable of familiarizing yourself with this field of activity quickly and in detail.
  • You have either several years of work experience in the large-scale technology-driven plant construction business or starting up a new business in a energy or green chemical business segment
  • You are able to motivate people and lead first-class team members to peak performance. You have already successfully headed a division or department or a start-up company.
  • You identify and use the opportunities and latitude this exceptional position offers.
