Your responsiblities

We are currently seeking a Transportation Manager to be based out of the Livermore, CA facility.  The Transportation Manager will plan, direct, coordinate, and manage the transportation operations as it pertains to this location.

  • Manage and direct staff and activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation vehicles.
  • Management of facility in regards to profit and loss statements,
  • Direct investigations to verify and resolve customer or shipper issues.
  • Collaborate with other managers and staff members to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
  • Monitor operations to ensure that staff members comply with government regulations, administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, and Lean program.
  • Promote safe work activities by conducting safety audits, attending company safety meetings, and meeting with individual staff members.
  • Maintain CTPAT and ISO certifications.
  • Assist in upholding DOT standards as it relates to Driver, Vehicle and Facility; including HAZMAT certification.

Your profile

  • High School Diploma required; bachelor’s degree or some college in pursuit of same is preferred.
  • 3-5 years previous experience in a management or supervisory role.
  • 5-7 years prior experience in the transportation industry.
  • Solid knowledge of government regulations within the trucking industry, including HAZMAT certification.
  •  Strong time management and coordination skills, verbal and written communication skills, and critical thinking/problem resolution ability.
