Your responsibilities

OVERALL POSITION PURPOSE:

Responsible for managing materials and materials operations, including planning, organizing, and implementing operations and procedures; while ensuring the safe and timely shipping, distribution, storing and otherwise transporting of materials. Supervises warehouse, shipping and receiving personnel ensuring the proper training, evaluation, and mentoring of employees within those departments.

CORE TASKS:

  • Oversees materials received, stored, shipped, and reported in accordance with established procedures.
  • Supervises Warehouse, Shipping and Receiving personnel; assists in hiring, training, evaluation and mentoring employees.
  • Plans, organizes, and implements operations and procedures; supervises Physical Inventory Count.
  • Reviews daily inventory activity; maintains accurate inventory files.
  • Supervise, motivate, and evaluate staff to reach goals.
  • Remains current on new and obsolete materials. Collaborates with purchasing to maintain adequate levels of inventory stock.
  • Incorporate methods and technologies involved in lean and Just-in-Time (JIT) management.
  • Convert and communicate demand requirements for products and service into detailed plans and schedules for inventory acquisition
  • Calculate key inventory performance metrics such as turnover ratios, cost-benefit tradeoffs, days of inventory on hand, labor productivity, and inventory valuation.

  • Proficient with SAP and MS Office.
  • Proficient in Inventory Management, Warehouse Management Systems.

  • Understand standard ERP and SCP system technologies.
  • Understands that supply and logistics is a system of organizations, people, technology, activities, information, and resources involved in moving a product or services from supplier to customer.
  • Possess knowledge of supply chain activities, including transformation of raw materials and components into a finished product that is delivered to the end customer.
  • Recognize the ways that supply chain links to value chains.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and assignments.
  • Ability to lead processes and people towards effective and efficient operations.
