Your responsibilities

thyssenkrupp Elevator Americas is currently seeking an experienced Regional Director - Service/Repair Operations in Irvine, CA.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Drives and supports a culture of safety throughout the organization. Includes participation in safety training, performing safety audits and stressing the importance of safety to all employees
  • Leads service growth and fosters relationships with key customers
  • Provides hands-on support to service and repair managers and superintendents by providing direction and training, communicating company policies and procedures, objectives, and new programs and initiatives
  • Regularly visits branches within the region to evaluate process effectiveness and performance of service and repair managers and superintendents, and field personnel
  • Visits job sites and performs quality audits as needed to ensure route work is being completed efficiently and in a cost effective manner
  • Reviews P&L and other financial reports to monitor branch performance within the region to ensure monthly budgetary goals are met or exceeded. Develops, reviews and approves the operating plans and budgets submitted by direct reports
  • Uses accounting reports and Route Planner to review route management and callbacks to ensure branches are executing to plan
  • Enforces Cancellation Reduction Program and implements TEAMService, including all established best practices
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all federal, state and local elevator industry code requirements.
  • Maintains strong familiarity of company products by attending company training classes, and reviewing factory equipment updates and supplier goods. Includes working with regional field trainers
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Your profile

  • Thorough knowledge of the elevator industry and 10+ years general management methods within the elevator industry
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
