Your responsibilities

seed campus is thyssenkrupp Elevator's unique in-house training organization that enables our employees to continue to learn while ensuring we provide our customers with the best resources and talent. From 12 international locations, our global seed campus delivers ongoing needs-based training and support of business transformations for employees around the world. As a business-specific training provider, seed campus is engaged in a continuous dialog with our business leaders about current and future learning needs – translating them into state-of-the-art learning offerings.

The Leader, Campus Learning North America is responsible for the seed campus training activities in North America and Canada as well as working with global peers to drive global learning initiatives forward. 

It’s an exciting time for us. Our recently announced new headquarters will include a state-of-the-art training facility that will allow us to more effectively and efficiently deliver training throughout the region. 

The successful candidate will possess the necessary skills and abilities needed to execute on our strategic way forward and enable seed campus to become a world-class training organization.

  • Establish a state-of-the art learning organization for thyssenkrupp Elevators in North America:
    • Set-up a high-performing team for training design and delivery
    • Create transparency on current learning activities and resources in the region and ensure alignment with the seed campus portfolio and organization
    • Set-up of a training governance structure, definition of processes and guidelines
    • Establish metrics to indicate training impact and effectiveness
    • Consolidation and standardization of training “grey market” to ensure seed campus is the organizations’ sole learning provider 
  • Serve as an important partner on eye level to our senior business leaders in order to identify current and future learning & transformation needs and consult them on how to address them
  • Manage several functional client managers addressing the learning and transformation needs of functional leaders
  • Manage learning managers who design, plan and implement learning initiatives (from digital to immersive) aligned with company initiatives and strategies
  • Ensure high training quality by functionally leading a regional trainer network
  • Further enhance the use of the current Learning Management System
  • Define and execute on a digital learning strategy
  • Supervisory Responsibilities include full people management responsibility, including hiring, firing, promotions, performance and compensation management, and training and development.
  • Management and Controlling of seed campus North America’s budget

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human resources, Organizational Development or related field required; master’s preferred
  • Strong business acumen and ability to impact and consult senior leaders
  • Intensive community building skills
  • Ability to quickly adapt to and learn about the Elevator business
  • Consultant and learning management experience highly desired
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence in a corporate matrix environment
  • Proactive, highly organized, able to drive project progress through effective issues management and communication
  • Exceptional leadership skills and a demonstrated ability to influence and drive results-oriented change, innovation, and customer focus while fostering positive working relationships and leading people
