Your responsibilities

As regional IT Lead you will be accountable for IT demand, service delivery and application management in nine countries of the region BBNI (Benelux, British Isles, Nordics and Italy) which belongs to our business unit Europe Africa (BU EA). In close collaboration with the regional and local management, you will understand the needs and provide back efficient solutions, based on the central IT portfolio of applications and infrastructure. You will be the enabler for the global IT strategy of thyssenkrupp Elevator in the region and will be in charge for transformation and integration of local countries into the global IT landscape. As regional IT lead you will actively participate in global IT projects and initiatives, being the regional project and program lead, ensuring these initiatives are planned and executed in your area of responsibility in time and in budget. Within transformation of the IT organization boundaries of your role will extend and exceed the region. Working in a matrix organization, you will lead an international team of IT experts to guarantee efficient and valuable services for your region

• Be a proactive and enabling business partner to local and regional business management to understand their challenges and IT demands
• Translates demands and business strategies into aligned IT roadmaps/solutions
• Be member of the IT Europe Africa leadership team and take an active part in the development of the overall Europe Africa IT organization
• Transforms the existing regional IT landscape in line with the global IT strategy
• Manages, develop and direct a geographically distributed team of IT experts
• Collaborates closely with IT Teams across regions and in the headquarter
• Leads local/regional projects as well as initiatives across BU Europe Africa
• Provides and implements efficient solutions, based on global IT services and application portfolio (templates like SAP, Office 365, Windows 10)
• Manages daily IT operations (BCP) and legacy application in the region and continuously improves IT services further develop and align disaster recovery policies/procedures
• Report on IT related topics to business area, operational unit and IT management
• Manages internal and external suppliers and vendors, enforce guidelines , polices and IT compliance
• Plans and controls the IT budget in the region

Your profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in leading organizations and/or teams and
the ability to influence and drive change outside of your functional scope
• Demonstrated ability to manage timelines, resources, budgets and risks
• Appropriate technical and/or project or service management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL) are an advantage
• High problem solving competence and ability to manage complexity
• Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills and high degree of personal initiative to engage collaborators/peers and build relationships
• Willingness to travel extensively in the region and across Europe
• Fluent English skills spoken and written
• Comfortable in a multinational environment, empathic towards different cultures
• Working knowledge of networking, infrastructure, Cloud, ERP and mobility solutions
• Ability to manage different stakeholders and align initiatives
• The position is placed in our BBNI headquarter in Capelle aan den Ijssel
(Netherlands, close to Rotterdam)
