Your responsibilities

Summary of Position:

Manages the activities within a large centralized payroll department in carrying out responsibility for payroll preparation/processing, and related responsibilities such as tax reporting and payroll systems maintenance.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage and guarantee weekly disbursement of multi-state payroll, including garnishments, benefits and taxes consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws.
  • Supervise payroll staff, including payroll supervisor and payroll specialists.
  • Critically review and analyze current payroll, benefits and tax procedures in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practice operations.
  • Stays current on payroll systems to achieve alignment with benefits and accounting
  • Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports
  • Meets TKMNA Employee Attributes / Competencies

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years experience working with Payroll systems processing payroll in multiple states
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws

Preferred requirements: 

  • Certified Payroll Professional designation preferred.
