Summary:

thyssenkrupp System Engineering (tk SY) is currently seeking an Application Systems Analyst to support the Auburn Hills facility.  The position is responsible for defining, developing, testing, analyzing, and maintaining software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements.  This includes the research, design, documentation, and modification of software specifications throughout the product life cycle.

Duties and Responsibilities (not all inclusive)

  • Analyze, assess, recommend, schedule, and improve existing business systems and procedures
  • Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software’s business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments
  • Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
  • Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas
  • Generate statistics and write reports for management and/or team members on the status of the programming process
  • Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights
  • Perform system backups and recovery
  • Develop and maintain user manuals and guidelines
  • Train end users to operate new or modified programs

Your profile

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field from a 4-year college or university
  • 5 years of related work experience, or a combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency in a variety of programming languages including VB.NET, ASP.NET, SQL, JavaScript, C#, C++, XHTML
  • Extensive relational database and operating systems experience with a focus on SQL

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CAD systems API
  • Hands-on experience developing test cases and test plans
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
  • Basic knowledge of SAP and/or PLM systems
  • Knowledge of CAD systems such as AutoCAD, Inventor, or NX is preferred
