Senior Project Construction Manager for Project Execution Governance (all genders welcome)

The Industrial Solutions business area of thyssenkrupp is a leading partner for the engineering, construction and service of industrial plants and systems. The Mining Technologies business unit supplies a full range of machinery, systems, equipment and services for the extraction, processing, storage and transportation of raw materials. In collaboration with our customers in the mining and minerals sectors throughout the world we develop custom, forward-looking solutions that enhance productivity and allow natural resources to be used responsibly and efficiently.

Your responsibilities

  • You actively participate in global project execution , project steering and deliver support to Project Management on selected critical and multi-offices projects.
  • For selected projects, you conduct project review meetings and one to one interviews on site with the respective project stakeholders.
  • You conduct reviews and plausibility checks for the construction part in our projects in cooperation with Construction Management team the Network of Excellence.
  • You develop project execution models for EPC and multi-offices projects and revise proposals and TRAs.
  • Based on our Project Management Excellence standard, you support the implementation of processes and best practices.
  • You report the technical and commercial project status to the Board of the Business Unit Mining and other stakeholders and implement lessons learnt.

Your profile

  • You have a university degree in mechanical engineering and bring longstanding professional experience in the execution of EPC projects in international plant construction, preferably in the mining industry.
  • You also have extensive experience in Construction Management and are able to quickly familiarize with the requirements of construction in the mining business.
  • You are fluent in German and English, knowledge of Spanish is an advantage.
  • Thanks to your excellent communication skills and your intercultural competence, you are able to integrate all project stakeholders successfully.
  • You have a strong business acumen, are goal-oriented and have a sovereign approach of all stakeholders up to management level.
  • You travel between one to two weeks per month to our international locations for conducting the project reviews.
