Your responsibilities

thyssenkrupp Elevator Americas is currently seeking an experienced Programmer/Analyst I - Product Configuration in Germantown, TN or Middleton, TN

This role will support and maintain all aspects of Thyssenkrupp’s product configurator applications and CPQ related processes. 

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Implement engineering changes within the product configurator application
  • Under minimal supervision, plan and develop computer programs of existing product configuration systems by replacing, modifying, or deleting code to correct errors, increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements
  • Create product models based on engineering data within the product configurator application
  • Create and maintain product data within the sales configurator application
  • Test and debug BOM outputs from the product configurator application
  • Specialized in developing programs for newly engineered product lines and problem troubleshooting
  • Identifies source of problems by recreating steps taken by users and rewrite code to correct errors in a timely manner
  • Supports enhancements to current product configurator system and supporting application interfaces
  • Support and create applications used to collect and capture data analytics, Bill of Material creation, fabrication automation, plant manufacturing schedules and various other support responsibilities
  • Provides unique data and reports as requested by users
  • Assist in coordination of various projects and system improvements
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects (PPS / A3 / CI) and MDI (managing for daily improvement).
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related technology field or equivalent education and work experience
  • Two or more years’ related experience within the elevator or similar manufacturing field required
  • Basic programming experience (C, C++, C#, Javascript), preferably with a product configurator in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience using PLM/PDM software such as Windchill, SolidWorksPDM, ENOVIA Smarteam, etc…
  • Experience using a product configuration software such as Configit (preferred), Tacton, Salesforce CPQ, etc...
  • Familiar with the CPQ process in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic understanding of the manufacturing process and Bills of Material
  • Change management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated work experience within a process-oriented environment
  • Possess the ability to maintain a customer focus in providing technology services
  • Possess the ability to work in a team with peer code review and team design and development
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member to achieve business objectives
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
