Your responsibilities

SUMMARY:

To support all Information Technology assets, which are critical to facility production operations in order to improve communication, handling technical end-user support, and contributing support to remote facilities to achieve corporate goals conciliating local needs with global guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensure the inclusion of any obtained organizational knowledge into the QMS.
  • Support and installation of IT infrastructure, hardware and software ensuring the fulfillment of all requirements.
  • Controlling of data safety, security and backup
  • Maintenance of IT-systems
  • Provide first-line technical support; Answering support queries via phone and email
  • Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles.
  • Operate appropriately within respective areas of the Quality Program
  • Additional responsibilities and activities may be added on a need basis, as assigned by management
  • To promote and assure the accomplishment of use guidelines in communication systems and mobile and fixed equipment
  • To keep updated the new developments (software and hardware implementation) offered in the market and which are affecting the facility results
  • To deliver product or services according to the different areas needs
  • To accomplish Health and Safety corporate guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience:    

Minimum education requirement: High School with some higher education such as certification or technical training

Preferred education requirement: Associates degree in Information Technology; Programming; as option Master Degree

  • High tolerance towards working under pressure and supporting an on-call role during off hours.
  • Personal judgement and independency to take actions, depending on his/her superiors.
  • High motivation to confront challenges and changes.
  • Ability to work with minimum direct supervision.
  • Acting independently (following process rules, norms and company policy), depending on his/her superiors.
  • Logical-analytical thinking: Ability to make decisions that could affect the company
  • CompTIA A+ Certification, CompTIA Network+ Certification, CompTIA Security+ Certification is a plus

Computer and Technology Skills:

  • Knowledge of network and systems management.
  • Understanding of general routing and switching principles.
  • Experience with firewalls, managed switches, VPNs, VLANs, etc
  • Experience with VMWARE and other server virtualization technologies
  • Understanding of Microsoft Enterprise environments
  • Experience with Microsoft Servers: 2003, 2008, 2012, SBS, etc. with solid experience with Active Directory
  • Understanding of access control and VOIP systems
  • Experience supporting backup solutions both physical and virtual
  • Experience supporting anti-virus software with centralized management
  • Must have a basic network security mindset
