Summary/Objectives
To apply leadership, specialist skills and knowledge of the OSH evidence base to provide strategic direction and support to managers to:
• operationalize and implement corporate OSH strategy; and
• evaluate the outcomes with an emphasis on critical control management.
Essential Functions

1. Lead and support the development and implementation of a systems approach to OSH.
2. Lead and support key influencers, including managers, on strategies to foster an organizational culture that prioritizes OSH.
3. Lead development of OSH risk management processes and facilitate and support their implementation and maintenance.
4. Develop and lead processes for monitoring, measuring and evaluating OSH performance.
5. Develop and implement processes for knowledge collection and management to enable positive OSH outcomes.
6. Communicate, engage with and influence decision makers and other interested parties to mitigate risk and optimize workplace health and safety.
7. Promote and apply professional and ethical standards to practice.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.
Work Environment
The employee must routinely inspect the worksite and may be exposed to construction, maintenance, remote environments, various weather conditions, and professional office environments. This position may be performed in outside arctic weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
