Your responsibilities

The Director of Quality establishes the direction of the company’s quality program in order to support the goals of the company.

The Director of Quality will be directly responsible for implementation and maintenance of the company’s quality system, reporting to the performance of the quality system for review by top management and as a basis for improvement of the quality system.

 

Your profile

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure that quality system has commitment of top management.
  • Ensure that all functional areas of the company work within a culture of continual
  • improvement in support of the corporate quality system
  • Direct and lead the functions of the CQIB and other company wide quality improvement efforts.
  • Approve all corporate level quality policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Define and oversee implementation of strategic quality goals and long term plans.
  • Ensure adequate resources for the operation and maintenance of the quality system.
  • Lead and review the performance of the Regional Quality Managers.
  • Conduct quality related presentations and act as liaison with external parties on matters
  • relating to the quality system.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have a four (4) year college degree and computer literate.
  • Must have experience with the ISO 9001: 2000, QS and/or other quality systems.
  • Acquainted with finance for non-financial managers, continual improvement planning, as well as cost of quality analysis.
  • Be proficient at time management.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Completion of or working towards a MBS
  • Metallurgy training and/ or experience
  • Leadership training, team building experience, and training in strategic planning and motivation  
  • 1 to 2 years operations and/ or sales experience.
