Engineered Plastics is a leading full line distributor and fabricator of industrial plastic shapes, adhesive products, rapid prototyping materials, and high pressure laminates, specializing in engineering plastics for the fabricator and OEM communities. The company operates over twelve warehouse locations and 13 sales offices in the United States, structured around local distribution service centers providing fast, efficient delivery to their customers. Their value-added processing system is customer-based, designed to give salespeople the tools they need to quickly and accurately process orders. The company’s nationwide logistics system allows next-day delivery to the majority of customers in North America.

Your responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

  • Embrace, utilize, and employ all sections of TKEP Sales Productivity Process applicable to your job.
  • Respond to sales calls, faxes, and e-mails.
  • Proactive out calling to customers and prospects.
  • Generate and follow up on quotes for all products.
  • Provide technical assistance to customers.
  • Process sales orders.
  • Enter return orders, credits, and debits when required.
  • Continual maintenance and updating of QuickBase customer database.
  • Work in team environment, communicating as required with all personnel.
  • Traveling as needed to meet company goals.
  • Monitor competitor products and prices.
  • Assist in quality related duties when required.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by TKEP and TKMNA management.

Your profile

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion/working towards 4 year degree ( business or engineering discipline) or equivalent work/life experience.
  • 1-2 years successful sales experience.
  • Engineering plastic shape and/or machined part training or experience.
  • Basic PC or mainframe skills in order to assemble and process orders and information in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary in order to negotiate, sell, and close business with customers.
  • Attention to detail in order to evaluate customer's accounts and orders.
