The Regional Headquarters Asia Pacific oversees and strategically supports one of thyssenkrupp’s core and strongest growing regions with over 40 group companies across 19 countries offering products and services including automotive components, high-performance materials, elevators and escalators or plant construction and industrial services.

Your responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for the sales & business development of Additive Manufacturing (AM) services in Asia Pacific
  • You will consult and advise businesses on their readiness to adopt AM technologies and processes to progress in the vertical and horizontal integration
  • You will provide innovative solutions in areas ranging from predesign diagnostics to design optimization and implementation approved by Tech Center - Additive Manufacturing (TC-AM) in Mülheim a.d.R. (Germany)
  • You will work with design engineers and customers to provide information on how to utilize the characteristics of additive manufacturing that differ substantially from conventional manufacturing
  • You will secure full project integration of TC-AM in Mülheim a.d.R. (Germany)
  • You will lead project management and agile product development with the focus on Minimum Viable Product (MVP) within the Testing, Inspections, Certifications (TIC) segment
  • You will align with the global AM business strategy and support the transfer and implementation of these strategies within Asia Pacific
  • You will support the redesign and further development the AM value proposition suitable to the specific requirements of regional customer groups
  • You will collaborate and engage with partners within and outside thyssenkrupp
  • You will ensures compliance with company policies, facility procedures and processes

Your profile

  • You possess either a Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Production Engineering (a PhD in materials science would be an added advantage)
  • You possess 5 to 7 years of experience in Additive Manufacturing (AM) domain
  • You are a subject matter expert on AM tools, processes, and materials development, possess sound knowledge of industrial additive solutions in the manufacturing industry
  • You possesses in-depth knowledge of metal 3D printing and understanding of powder metallurgy and the mechanical properties of metal printed parts
  • You have prior experience in industrial engineering domain (e.g., cement, mining, oil & gas, marine, aerospace, infrastructure)
  • You have strong business development and engineering background
  • You are able to communicate effectively (spoken and written) in English and another language (preferably German)
  • You have good analytical skills as well as hands-on-approach
  • You are able to work in multiple stakeholder environments (with limited reporting relationship recourse) and drive alignment/consensus on challenging topics
  • You are able to work in an amorphous environment and set up operating systems/processes
