Your responsibilities

Summary of Position:

The tkMNA Human Resources team in North America provides a foundation to foster and support a safe, professional, and fulfilling work environment. We partner with our businesses to develop programs, services, and processes consistent with our company values and compliance policies. By attracting, retaining, and developing the best employees, we enable a high-performing and sustainable organization. The Human Resource intern will assist the thyssenkrupp North America Materials human resource department.

The HR Team Member will be exposed to:

  • Full cycle recruiting and sourcing process
  • Recruiting techniques
  • New Hire Process
  • HRIS Systems used for recruiting and Onboarding
  • Opportunities to be creative, grow professionally and learn outside the classroom

Key Accountabilities:

  • Recruits for open positions using a variety of sources
  • Understands company’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and can assist managers with questions related to the recruiting process and ATS system
  • Assists with new hire paperwork and onboarding new hires
  • Assist Human Resource Manager with hiring starts up and building process improvements

Your profile

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited university
    • Junior or Senior academic standing
  • Business, Human Resources, Marketing, or any degree in the related field
    • 3.0 or higher GPA
  • Applicants should be competitive, assertive, and self-motivated. The ability to think critically, multi-task, and keep up in a fast-paced environment is critical. The ideal candidate will have a passion for public relations and business, and must have strong research and writing skills
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Experience with Word, Outlook, and Power Point
  • Internship experience
