Your responsibilities

thyssenkrupp Elevator Americas is currently seeking an experienced Change Purchasing Analyst in Middleton, TN.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage change management process supporting Purchasing Practices of product, process and specifications from beginning to final implementation according to proper procedures and company standards
  • Support the Purchasing Department in all Engineering and New Product Introduction Change Management such as requesting and gaining quotes, performing FAIR coordination, and establishing production inventory for new parts and setting new parts up in PFEP
  • Hold meetings with stakeholders to ensure the sequence is properly followed and deadlines are met for every new release or change
  • Identify and resolve problems during the change management process
  • Coordinate and expedite RFQ Process with Commodity Managers
  • Work NMCRs as a result of failed FAIRs
  • Determine and report all Purchasing ECO tasks are complete to the Manufacturing Engineering Analysts
  • Report ECO Purchasing Key Performance Indicators
  • Create material masters/supplier masters
  • Coordinate first-time purchase of production material
  • Participate in Plant Annual Physical Inventory and 6S initiatives
  • Maintain related forms and files
  • Perform special projects, Continuous Improvement, problem solving and other duties as assigned

Your profile

  • Associate’s Degree or Technical School and/or an experience equivalent in a manufacturing environment are preferred; High school plus technical school and/or experience equivalent is required
  • One or more years of work experience in an engineering environment
  • Ability to read, interpret and comprehend and organize technical drawings and change orders
  • Must possess knowledge of commonly-used drafting concepts, practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Must be able to understand and closely follow instructions and rough product designs and specifications
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented to manage multiple projects
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are required
