You will become the responsible Controller for selected subsidiaries of our Operating Unit Materials Western Europe/ Asia Pacific with €1.5 billion  sales, 2.000 employees across 11 countries in Western Europe (Netherlands, Belgium, UK, Switzerland, Austria, France, Spain) and Asia Pacific (South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia).

Your responsibilities

As Controller you act as the first point of contact for all financial topics related to our subsidiaries. Based on your comprehensive analysis of financial and business data and benchmarking you actively track and drive improvements.

Further responsibilities are:

  • Participate in the development of strategic plans for the relevant group companies
  • Analyze and comment on the business, monitor the progress of assigned improvement initiatives by keeping track of action items and developing counter measures to get back on track if required
  • Provide value-added advice and support to implement improvement initiatives
  • Steering and analysis of monthly financial information
  • Performance reviews, incl. commentaries and variance analyses
  • Financial KPI Analysis (Profit & Loss, business lines, operational KPIs, cash flow, net working capital)
  • Preparation and active participation in Review Meetings with the group companies
  • Evaluate budget and mid-term planning and prepare related budget meetings
  • Evaluate investment projects and submit Board decision paper
  • Asses risk management and derive action fields
  • Lead and support various projects (Net Working Capital optimization, performance improvement, productivity increase, restructuring, growth projects, etc. )
  • Define, evaluate, monitor and control project management processes with regards to potential, quality and schedule

Your profile

  • Academic degree in Business Administration
  • At least 3-5 years working experience as a controller in an international environment
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to perform complex analysis and define pragmatic action plans 
  • Ability to question statements critically
  • Ability to identify risks and weaknesses and to communicate them briefly
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Working independently, acting solution oriented, customer focused, hands on, driving execution
  • Very good PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Preference for international business, intercultural management
  • Willingness to travel from time to time
  • Very good English and German skills
