Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards. Wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same.

Project Development and Management:
• Establishes goals and follows through on the execution of those goals.
• Develops projects as assigned from inception through completion involving the following major areas: design, purchasing, contracting, implementation, cost control, schedule control and follow up.
• Coordinates training, evaluation of work and staffing requirements for all functions within span of control.
• Designs and builds electrical equipment, facilities, and components such as PLC programming, electrical panels, run conduit, pull wires and labeling, etc.
• Provide accurate cost and technical information to aid in evaluating alternatives and making cost effective decisions.
• Responsible for the contracting and purchasing of items necessary for implementation of assigned projects.
• Uses computer assisted engineering and design computer assisted software and equipment to perform tasks.
• Takes responsibility for the Controls aspect of Equipment Erection, Installation, Run-Off, Verification of Technical Specifications and Documents. Manage the storage and back up of relevant files.

• Works closely with Process Engineering and Shop FloorProduction teams.
• Directs contractors and maintenance Associates in the implementation, improvement, and maintenance of Control, Information, and Electrical systems.
• Designs and directs maintenance Associates in fabrication and test control apparatus and equipment. Determines methods, procedures, and conditions for testing.
• Provides input into corporate direction regarding improvement of plant operations utilizing Control, Information, and Electrical systems.

Support, Training, and Development:
• Provides facility specific support to operations and maintenance employees on Control, Information, and Electrical systems to include training, mentoring, and consultation.
• The Associate will be responsible for supervising and controlling the work being done by contractors and equipment suppliers.

• Follows all safety policies and procedures in conformance with OSHA requirements. Identify and communicates hazards to manager.
• Responsible for keeping PLC documentation updated and stored properly.
• Responsible for keeping electrical drawing documentation up to date. Works with maintenance team leaders and maintenance employees to keep current on changes and follows up to ensure documentation is accurate
• Ensures compliance and safety of all activities within the organization standards and policies.

Qualifications & Experience:
• Minimum of five (5) years related Maintenance experience and/or training/schooling required.
• Must have significant experience with: various brands of PLCs, HMIs, including installations, troubleshooting, and communication networks; design and implementation of Control and Instrumentation Systems based upon PLCs, PCs, pneumatics, and discrete component controls; and pc communications including LANs, industrial operator interfaces, hardware, dedicated devices, and specific software systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of advanced math skills and a strong logical method of problem solving.
• Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office and Engineering/Design software. [Studio 5000, TIA Portal, Auto-Cad, In-Sight, Remote Desktop and Network infrastructure, etc..
• Proven knowledge of strong electrical concepts (in areas such as control wiring, programming and operation of various control panels, transducers, machines, etc.).
• Demonstrated knowledge of program editing PLCs, HMIs, Servo Drivers, Robots, Torqueer Machines, Vision Systems, Linear Transducers, Load Cells and Light Curtains etc..
• Strong mechanical knowledge (machine guarding, drive belt installation & alignment, seal replacements, etc.).
• Reasonable knowledge on Machining Shop. Skills with Lathe, Mill, Drill, Weld and Grinding machines.
• Strong pneumatic & hydraulic knowledge (replace and repair; check valves; filter assembly, etc.).
• Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC, ABB robotics, Atlas Copco torque, Cognex and Keyence vision/ sensing, Network communications and .setup.
• Must have an understanding and a proven working knowledge of electrical, electronic, component control, pneumatic, and hydraulic concepts, installations, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of various types of programing languages such as structured text, ladder logic, C, C++, etc.
