Your responsibilities

SUMMARY:  The Warehouse Supervisor requires a person with the ability to lead a large diverse group.  This position demands a person with dynamic capabilities, professionalism and strong leadership skills.  The role leads a team responsible for all Warehouse activities, both internal and external, within the Supply Chain Operations group.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Responsible for customer outbound shipments and indirect material receipts.
  • Prioritize work assignments for shipping and receiving personnel.
  • Determines space requirements for docks, internal and external warehouses.
  • Is responsible for performance and training for all Warehouse Coordinators.
  • Manages and ensures that all safety procedures are followed within logistics operation areas.
  • Transport and Duty cost tracking along with container utilization.
  • Optimizes all internal expendable and returnable packaging.
  • Accountable for inventory control.
  • Responsible for the entire manual and automated forklift fleet (3rd Party Supplier, budget, and preventative maintenance).
  • Leads the coordination of the AGV Program and all related activities.
  • Manages External Warehouse Provider (budget/purchase orders/truck schedules).
  • Responsible for all department related spending and budgets (AGV/Warehouse/Packaging).

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises employees in the Warehouse area. Carries out lead responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring recommendations, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; participates in rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Computer and Technology Skills:   To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office software products and basic knowledge of email.
