WAREHOUSE Supervisor

Direct and coordinate activities of Aftermarket distribution warehouse. This position is salaried and exempt.

Your responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Disciplinary responsibility for all employees in the warehouse, including hiring, separation, counseling and mentoring, time and attendance as well as ensure timely processing of performance appraisals and compensation reviews
• Responsible and accountable for effectiveness and efficiency of execution of all warehouse processes and the documentation thereof, including but not limited to
o Receiving
o Put away
o Picking
o Packing
o Shipping
o Inventory count
o Waste Management
o Maintenance of Equipment



• Responsible and Accountable for Inventory Accuracy
• Responsible and Accountable for Training of employees and maintaining good level of cross training as documented in a qualification / training matrix
• Responsible and Accountable for continuous improvement activities including 6S, Six Sigma and other optimization to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the warehouse
• Responsible for measuring KPI’s on a daily, weekly and monthly base
• Responsible for adhering to the department budget as defined during the annual budgeting process
• Ensure forklift safety and compliance with existing regulations, forklift training
• Support of other departments as needed
• Coordinate local transportation carriers as needed
• Spending authority without further approval: 500 USD / month
• Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same.
• Ensures compliance and safety of all activities within the organization standards and policies.
• Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a warehouse environment
• Strong people skills to inspire, lead and motivate group of hourly warehouse workers
• Analytical abilities to drive continuous improvement
• Team player
• Good communication skills
• SAP WM and Microsoft office skills
• Excellent command of the English language, Spanish a plus
• Forklift Trainer experience / certification
• Strong process mindset and continuous improvement mindset
• Willingness to work hard and hands on mentality if required by situation
• Highly organized with ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Exhibits integrity through fair and ethical behaviors in all activities; maintains accountability for performance.
• Strong attention to detail with well-developed organizational and communication skills.
• Proven experience developing work processes to improve outcomes for the team/customers.
• Possesses a stable work history, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and a strong personal desire to work safely and maintain a safe working environment.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree (ideally in Logistics, Operations, Engineering or IT) required.
