Transportation Supervisor - Livermore, CA

Your responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Transportation Supervisor to be based out of the Livermore, CA area. The Transportation Supervisor will direct, coordinate, and supervise the transportation operations within an automotive manufacturer site located in Livermore, CA. The key responsibilities of the Transportation Supervisor position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Communicate with drivers
• Communicate with customers
• Delegate equipment and loads to shuttle as required
• Cover absenteeism among drivers
• Maintain metrics as required by management and or customers
• Document, investigate and report equipment damages
• Ensure to communicate with all customers and suppliers in a professional and courteous manner
• Responsible for administrative duties of the area
• Ensure that working conditions are safe at all times
• Maintain written/computerized records and other forms of information
• Shift to Shift Communication
• Completing reports on time.
• All other duties assigned by reporting Manager/Supervisor
• Participate, support and comply with all health, safety and 6S initiatives and requirements

Your profile


• High School Diploma required; bachelor's degree or some college in pursuit of same is preferred.
• 1-2 years previous experience in a management or supervisory role.
• 3-5 years prior experience in the transportation industry.
• Strong time management and coordination skills, verbal and written communication skills, and critical thinking/problem resolution ability.
