Seed Campus is thyssenkrupp Elevator’s unique in-house training platform that enables our employees to continue to learn while ensuring we provide our business partners with the best resources and talent. From 12 international locations, our global seed Campus delivers ongoing needs-based training for employees around the world. The executive team of thyssenkrupp Elevator Americas is committed to making the Seed Campus a world class training organization. We need committed and talented people to achieve that.

Sr. Training Manager

The Training Manager serves as the account manager for all training within the thyssenkrupp Elevator Americas’ Business Unit. This responsibility, broadly defined, includes implementation of the seed Campus learning value chain to include planning, execution, evaluation and analysis of training impact.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze and consolidate strategic learning needs through strong partnerships with business and HR leaders
  • Responsible for Business Unit (BU)-wide implementation of the seed Campus learning value chain processes, methods and training offerings across the BU to improve training efficiency
  • Partner with HR to harmonize BU-wide/cross-BU training programs and processes
  • Owner of BU-wide funnel process of training development activities (based on demands & existing programs) and responsible for BU-wide coordination and roll-out
  • Develop training provider sourcing strategy (vendor management) across the BU in collaboration with Portfolio Managers and Learning Managers from other parts of the organization
  • Screen market and analyze provider selection
  • Responsible for internal and external trainer selection and development
  • Increase BU-wide utilization of all training facilities and equipment
  • Analyze and report evaluation results and KPIs for continuous improvement of training effectiveness
  • Act as liaison in seed Campus Director’s absence

Your profile

  • Bachelor degree in Adult Education, Training & Development, Organizational Development, HR, or related discipline. Master degree preferred
  • 5-7 years managing a large learning portfolio
  • Requires a high level of customer service  and professionalism while working in stressful situations
  • Ability to communicate both technical and non-technical themes between vendors, staff, and participants
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required
  • Knowledge of and experience with learning management systems (LMS), preferred
  • Ability to manage workload and deliver programs with minimal supervision and maintain high degree of proficiency while traveling
  • Travel: 25-50%
  • Strong project management skills
  • Customer-centric approach to training and development
  • Strong training process knowledge including learning value chain and program development
  • Networking skills to create a regular exchange with seed campus field locations and seed campus headquarters in Atlanta, GA
  • Good understanding of globalization needs and local culture & customs
  • Good knowledge of the national training provider market and experience in trainer/provider selection and controlling
