Your responsibilities

thyssenkrupp Elevator Americas is currently seeking an experienced National Project Manager - New Installation in Frisco, TX.

Improve sales hit rate and financial success of Major Projects.  Strengthen project manager role, career path, and individual development.  Support and improve overall operations.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Drive Major Projects Program in territory and assume accountability for Major Projects P&L
  • Support and manage regional project managers and drive their individual development
  • Act as the project sponsor for all A and B level major projects in territory
  • Support local sales and operations teams on projects exceeding $5M with estimating, sales strategy, proposal creation, and customer presentations with the goal of increasing sales hit rate of Major Projects
  • Monitor and forecast project backlog and be proactive with staffing by recruiting and hiring to meet upcoming demand
  • Ensure all major projects in territory are setup in the Major Project Tool and are regularly updated
  • Ensure required meetings are being performed and reporting completed for all major projects in territory
  • Participate and present at project management training events and support the PM network with best practice sharing, lessons learned, and continuous improvement suggestions
  • Ensure use of PM assessment tool during performance management process, and validate nominations for Project Management Training and Certification programs
  • Manage assigned internal continuous improvement projects from initiation to completion
  • Support national operations directors and overall operations in territory
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

 

 

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years elevator project management experience and previous managerial experience
  • Thorough knowledge of elevator equipment and installation methods, and ability to lead installation crews
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
  • Strong project management, planning, and execution skills
  • Proven ability to communicate and positively influence high level strategies
  • Ability to lead and work collaboratively with multiple business functions
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills
  • Successful change management with large scale initiatives
  • Self-starter with the ability to work through ambiguity
  • Adheres to and drives safety policies
