Your responsibilities

Summary/Objective

Responsible for managing the billing function and staff ensuring timely and accurate generation of invoices within the OU – U.S. Elevator to ensure that plan goals are exceeded and the company’s business interests are protected.

Essential Functions

  1. Oversees and monitors the billing efforts of the Billing Supervisors and Billing Coordinators to ensure adherence to company protocols and department goals are exceeded.
  2. Reviews under/overbilling reports with supervisors ensuring all opportunities for additional billing terms are pursued, engages branch and region management as needed for contract billing restrictions, engages finance regarding stalled under-billed jobs
  3. Oversees and ensures adherence to department SLA and SOPS, as well as collaboration and standardization of procedures with other shared services teams.
  4. Drives resolution to problematic billing by regularly teaming up with the Billing Director for problem solving, leading to long term solutions.
  5. Monitors the performance of supervisors and billing analysts by engaging in the performance management process, holding employees accountable for meeting their goals, and rewarding and disciplining employees as necessary.
  6. Responsible for overseeing training for new hires and making sure that existing billing analysts are trained should they be moved to different assignment within the Billing team.
  7. Interface with customers regarding escalated billing issues as needed
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position is directly responsible for leading and managing supervisors and indirectly responsible for their assigned billing coordinators.  The individual carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. All hiring, coaching, performance management and terminations are to be in coordination with HR support and approval.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, and five or more years’ experience in Billing Management
  2. One-Three Years supervisory experience; training experience preferred.
  3. Track record of results-oriented process improvement; ability to motivate staff.
  4. Oracle experience preferred.
  5. Elevator Experience preferred.
  6. Good organizational skills, attention to detail.
