Your responsibilities

thyssenkrupp Elevator Corporation is currently seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team in Germantown, TN. Core responsibilities include: Participation in projects and key initiatives, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and variance analysis. This will lead projects & initiatives within finance, represent finance in cross-functional projects within BU, and support functional leads with financial reporting and analysis. Will gather financial data, analyze it and derive conclusion to drive business results. 


• Provide analytical support for projects to drive data driven decisions
• Work hand in hand with BU, OU & Finance leadership to drive projects
• Monitors the effectiveness and efficiencies of the group to ensure all the objectives are met
• Collaborate with various functional and operational teams to develop specific project plans and monitor progress
• Collaborate with operational and financial management to define processes required to properly report required financial and statistical data
• Drive continuous improvement in all areas assigned
• Proactively identify potential issues, alert key stakeholders and take actions to assure compliance with plans
• Lead, develop and mentor teams throughout the business
• Become Subject Matter Expert (SME) for special initiatives
• Provide 'hands-on', as needed project leadership on multiple projects as assigned
• All other duties as assigned

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field is required
• MBA Certification strongly preferred
• 5-7 years of full-time work experience in financial analysis, business administration, general accounting, cost accounting, economic analysis, systems analysis, or related area, with supervisory experience desired
• Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting process
• Advance ability to utilize current spreadsheets to gain insight and make data driven decisions
• Reasonable ability to utilize computer software to provide monthly, quarterly, and fiscal analysis (Oracle Hyperion Enterprise & Retrieve for Excel)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suites, particularly Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, ERP retrieve tools, etc)
• Previous working relationship with foreign parent company finance organization a plus
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written to all levels within the company
• Able to apply technical expertise in finance and accounting to provide oversight and guidance
• Demonstrated ability to manage time across multiple responsibilities while taking into account the scope of work, time available and deadlines of others
• Able to constructively work in a very demanding performance oriented work environment with high workloads and deadlines
• Able to interact effectively with all levels of management 
• Able to serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues
