thyssenkrupp Elevator Corporation is currently seeking Director - Training to join our team in Alpharetta, GA.  thyssenkrupp Elevator Corporation is offering a challenging opportunity for a driven individual to help us grow our seed campus into world-class learning organization. Seed campus is thyssenkrupp Elevators’ unique in-house training platform that enables our employees to continue to learn while ensuring we provide our customers with the best resources and talent. From 12 international locations, our global seed campus delivers ongoing needs-based training for employees around the world. The director of seed campus Americas is responsible for these training activities in North and South America as well as working with global peers to drive objectives of the global seed campus. It’s an exciting time for us. Our recently announced new headquarters will include a state-of-the-art training facility that will allow us to more effectively and efficiently deliver training throughout the region. The successful candidate will possess the necessary skills and abilities needed to execute on our strategic way forward and enable seed campus to become a world-class training organization.

Essential Job Functions

  • Design, planning and implementation of training initiatives (from digital to immersive) aligned with company initiatives and strategies
  • Manage and evaluate the infrastructure of the seed campus including the training team’s Supervisory Responsibilities include full people management responsibility, including hiring, firing, promotions, performance and compensation management, and training and development
  • Establishment of metrics to indicate training impact and Provides strong expertise and direction to team in end-to-end learning life cycle, including strong emphasis on evaluation and measuring effectiveness
  • Consolidation and standardization of training “grey market” to ensure seed campus is the organizations’ sole learning provider
  • Foster alignment on global learning
  • To be a thought leader in the development of a world-class training facility
  • Manage overall activities of current virtual campus and Prepare team budget, seeks and obtains funding approval, and controls costs against budget
  • Drive the strategic business learning agenda and implementation of differentiated learning programs that successfully span all levels and learning styles within the organization
  • Define and control policies and  guidelines
  • Stakeholder management with all business leaders. Assist team members by being project lead on or sponsor of large-scale projects or tasks, including design/development and implementation of solutions to fluctuations in business needs

Your profile

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human resources, Organizational Development or related field required; master’s preferred
  • Ability to impact and influence leaders. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence in a highly matrix corporate environment
  • Exceptional leadership skills and a demonstrated ability to influence and drive results-oriented change, innovation, and customer focus while fostering positive working relationships and leading people.
  • Experience in managing training programs in international and multicultural
  • Good platform skills
  • Excellent communication skills.  Proactive, highly organized, able to drive project progress through effective issues management and communication
  • Strong business acumen: Understands that business needs and opportunities drive learning initiatives
  • Ability to quickly learn the business
  • Minimum 10 years work experience managing relevant training programs/departments
  • Excellent judgement and analytical skills as well as strong planning and execution skills
  • Professional presentation and consulting skills
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects and demonstrated ability to achieve success both independently and through others
  • Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint templates, with strong level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and SharePoint required
