Through its Process and Resource Technologies, System Engineering and Marine Systems business units, Industrial Solutions partners with clients to provide solution packages that are optimally customized to their individual needs.

Your responsibilities

thyssenkrupp Industrial (USA) is currently seeking a Controller in our Atlanta, Georgia  office location.

The Controller is responsible for financial controlling and coordination of the reporting in the Atlanta office.  This position requires prior experience in financial analysis and forecasting, with an emphasis on performance controlling of long term contracts for EP/EPC projects. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares budgets, forecasts, and cost analysis for local office financial activities
  • Performance controlling of long term contracts for EP and EPC projects
  • Compiles group and management reporting, explaining variance analysis
  • Develops and tracks benchmarking and performance measurements
  • Works across multiple accounting, reporting, and business database systems
  • Assists in month-end, quarterly, and year-end close process as needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5-10 years relevant experience in financial analysis, accounting, reporting, and controlling.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel

  • Previous experience with percentage of completion and construction accounting
  • Work experience in matrix organizations
  • Knowledge of SAP

The Controller reports to the Head of Controlling (USA) and will work closely in a matrix organization with local office business leaders, as well as colleagues in Denver, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, and Germany. The controller will manage budgeting, forecasting, and coordinate the reporting of all Atlanta office activities.  This will involve close communication with project management and commercial management teams to track project performance, cash positions, and utilization.  The controller will also supervise risk map review, benchmarking, financial close, tax reporting, as well as other ad hoc work as needed.  This position will focus on financial analysis and forecasting.  Some travel may be necessary to other office locations in the United States and Germany.
