Your responsibilities

  • You will be the engineering voice to the Program engineering team (PET).
  • You are accountable that all engineering deliverables and requirements are ready in time, quality and at functional target. Your special focus is on the engineering BIG 5: Release, Statement of Requirements, Synch Point managing (Design Data and Data Interfaces), Validation and Fast Problem Resolution.
  • Among your responsibilites are the organization and management of the engineering input for Change Board and the Program Quality Gates (Milestones). This includes the pre-validating of the change need, as well as the decision readiness.
  • You are accountable to perform continuously risk assessments (using FMEA (D/P/M/S), DFSS, 7 Diamond Process) to identify potential risks before they occur and to plan for corrective action and fall back solutions. Frequently report out all issues and Action Plans to the Chief Engineer or at Board level.
  • Furthermore, you will be supporting the launch activities for MULTI (internal), but in case of special cases at the building (external).

Your profile

  • We are looking for someone with a Master/Diploma in Engineering or a comparable profession.
  • You bring in at least 8-10 years of release experience (Automotive preferred) in several functions and technologies.
  • You are a strongly target and result oriented team player who is able to lead multicultural and multifunctional teams.
  • You have experience with metric organizations and with international geographically distributed teams.
  • Strong communication and social skills paired with an excellent result oriented approach to manage people within a metric, high analytical skills, as well as strong skills in dealing with ambiguity and problem resolution define you.
  • You are a highly motivated self-starter who wants to take on responsibility.
  • With a high level of engagement, flexibility, creativity and reliability, as well as the willingness to travel intensively, you are the candidate we are looking for.
  • DFSS and FMEA, MS-Office, MS Project are pre-requisites.
  • Last but not least you are fluent in English and German.
