thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions offers a full range of turnkey engineered solutions for the design, manufacture and construction of processing plants for the fertilizer and chemical industries; industrial plants and equipment for the mining, minerals and cement industries; aerospace and automotive body and power train assembly systems; and support and services to the naval marine industry. Through its Process and Resource Technologies, System Engineering and Marine Systems business units, Industrial Solutions partners with clients to provide solution packages that are optimally customized to their individual needs.

Your responsibilities

The Inside Sales position focuses on providing all inside tkIS Canada support to selling parts and services in Canada. The person in this position is responsible for supporting the service portfolio, including product portfolio from all SER Operating Units being Spare Parts, Revamps, Shop / Field Services and Asset Management. The Inside Sales representative will interact with Vendors, Customers, Procurement, Account Managers, Engineering amongst others to achieve the goals.

  • Responding to incoming RFQs from customers in a professional manner
  • Communicates with Customer, Vendors and other colleagues in a professional manner relevant to estimations and quotes.
  • Opening  and closing Sales orders within SAP P20 system
  • Maintaining electronic copies of job documentation in the common drive, including customer PO, Vendor PO, Invoices and shipping documents
  • Communicating with Engineering and Service Technical support for information relevant to customer’s RFQ
  • Communicating with PSM on Purchase Requisitions after receiving the orders from customers
  • Reviewing Purchase Orders from customers and processing the acceptance based on order value, complexity and risk profile
  • Reviewing job completion documentation (i.e vendor Purchase Orders, shipping documents, job deliverables, QA/QC documentation) and inform CPM for immediate customer invoicing
  • Forecast and communicate job completion expectations per month, keeping completion dates updated in SAP P20
  • Coordinates freight / shipments as per PO Incoterms stipulations and the PSM team
  • Works in collaboration with department management as well as all colleagues within tkIS
  • Other after sales parts and service coordination work, as required
  • Provides input and maintains all customer business / technical / outage activities, leads, opportunities and results in CRM (MS Dynamics 365)
  • Participate and meet with required parties (internal / external), as required
  • Adhere and comply with all tk procedures and policies, in particular Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance

Your profile

Required Experience / Knowledge / Skills and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in technical field
  • Superior computer skills
  • 3 or more years of technical inside sales roles
  • Must be motivated, be a self-starter and driven by business hunting mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organization and time management skills to succeed in a fast paced environment

Preferred Experience / Knowledge / Skills and Education

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Experience with end users within Oil Sands mining is highly desirable
  • Experience with SAP ERP systems
