Head of Sales (m/f) Philippines

Your responsibilities

  • You will develop and manage the thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions Philippines sales & service team for the entire thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions portfolio. Focus on securing new business and build on the existing relationships in cement, power, material handling, and sugar clients
  • You will lead and develop Philippines' Operation & Maintenance (O&M) business market entry initiative leading full cycle from business development and sales activities, to proposal/bid construction, to execution phase
  • You will be responsible for building up and management of the local sales and service staff. Ensure necessary transfer of technology/know-how into local team and guide/steer team’s professional sales competencies
  • You will lead the sales and service staff talent development & training process and agenda, ensuring that the team in Philippines is building capabilities and competencies to meet short, medium, and long term talent needs in cooperation with Human Resources
  • You will perform sales activities including strategic account management, client relationship management, opportunity identification, development of strategies to win projects and proposal support and reviews
  • You will establish and maintain client relationships and networks, which allow identification of projects and winning of profitable work
  • You will manage and develop thyssenkrupp internal network and relationship with mother/sister companies to ensure an efficient and effective sales process
  • You will monitor and report on activities of current and prospective clients, competitors and suppliers
  • You will accurately identify and develop demand of customers for current and prospective projects. Track industry trends and regulations, assess their business impact and address those in the most effective and efficient manner.
  • You will formulate strategic initiatives to expand market share and support business expansion by identifying and developing new business opportunities. Develop sales and marketing strategies and plans to support the corporate business strategy.
  • You will review and develop product portfolio for the local market in close collaboration with other relevant departments/parties/companies
  • You will promote the company’s capabilities and involvement in client projects
  • You will Initiate and prepare ‘Bid / No Bid’ decisions for opportunities by company management
  • You will act as Bid Manager or Bid Sponsor for bid activities as delegated, closely coordinate with Commercial Sales Manager during proposal, bid, and contract finalization process
  • You will Participate in contract document reviews jointly with Commercial Sales Manager and contract negotiation with customers
  • You will ensure that contract rates, prices, conditions and risk profiles in final contracts are consistent with objectives of and commitments to the concerned CoC (Centers of Competence)
  • You will ensure an effective hand over of awarded projects to the Project Manager for smooth project implementation
  • You will negotiate with clients to obtain better business outcomes
  • You will participate in internal sales meetings with company management
  • You will prepare, develop and/or maintain management tool, sales records and sales reports

Your profile

  • You possess either Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering or Business Administration
  • You possess a minimum 10 years of experience in industrial sales or service function
  • You have working experience in the cement or power generation industry
  • You have project management experience for industrial plants
  • You have working experience in set-up of O&M projects in the field of industrial plants
  • You have experience with EPC contracting business and experience in executing large capital project work
  • You are client focused and are able to engage them 
  • You are compliant with legal and corporate business processes 
  • You have strong business experience in Philippines including relevant client network 
  • You are experienced in working with remote Headquarter and used to work in a multi-dimensional matrix organisations 
  • You possess strong technical background (education and job experience) 
  • You have participated in and won projects in similar industries 
  • You are able to make complex decisions and creating innovative solutions
  • You are able to manage relationships with partners, stakeholders and shareholders
