Your responsibilities

thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions (Canada) Inc. is currently seeking a Sales Engineer in our Calgary, AB office location.The Service Business Development and Sales Engineer position focuses on selling life cycle support solutions into the cement industrial end user market in Canada. The services are for thyssenkrupp and non-thyssenkrupp machines, equipment and systems. The person in this position is responsible for supporting the service portfolio offer at all accounts in the cement market across Canada. The focus shall be on industrial facilities with tk installed base of target product portfolio from all SER Operating Units, including Spare Parts, Revamps, Shop / Field Services and Asset Management. The Service BD and Sales Engineer will support and interact with Regional Sales in a territory to meet a sales quota for annual services sales and work closely with operating units, manufacturer’s  representatives and other potential Channel Partners to achieve goals.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Provides technical insight on CEM revamp opportunities, based on plant specific operations / technology while working together with tkIS Canada service sales colleagues in the region
  • Support the development and implementation plans for strategic CEM accounts that exceed expectations in revenue retention/growth, account profitability, and customer satisfaction/loyalty.
  • Shall identify, develop and manage partners within CEM industry to achieve goals.
  • Assists in cultivating long-term relationships with the appropriate key account decision makers.
  • Develops a complete understanding of the CEM organizations’ structure and key buying influencers.
  • Performs technical client presentations articulating the value proposition of product / solution / service offerings within CEM industry.
  • Supports the group with input for development of forecasts, budgets, customer proposals and operating plans
  • Provides frequent updates and participates in reviews for account planning based on changing market, customer conditions, and competitive activity.
  • Provides input and maintains all customer business / technical / outage activities, leads, opportunities and results in CRM (MS Dynamics 365), relevant to the CEM market in the region
  • Participate and meet with required parties (internal / external), as required
  • Adhere and comply with all tk procedures and policies, in particular Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance

 

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in technical field
  • 8 or more years of technical roles in cement industry
  • Must have strong credibility in the cement industry
  • Must be motivated, be a self-starter and driven by business hunting mindset
  • Executive level verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Inherent ability to work effectively in a team environment and strong desire to win
  • Organization and time management skills to succeed in a fast paced environment

 Preferred Experience / Knowledge / Skills and Education

  • BS in  Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Experience with end users preferably within Cement Industry highly desirable
  • Knowledge of customers and competitors of tkIS in Canada is a plus
