Your responsibilities

As Digital Service Product Manager, you will lead the definition and introduction of the Digital Service including customer journey mapping, proposition, marketing, contract form and solution. In doing so, you will draw on expert resources in sales, marketing/communications and R&D in a flexible project format. The overall activity proceeds within a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process to give the overall team clarity on roles, responsibilities and terminology. This provides a platform for your market led creativity.

In more detail, the responsibilities are:

  • You will manage all aspects of a product throughout its entire lifecycle to ensure that a product is technically feasible and economically viable.
  • You will connect the PLM process with the Sales & Execution process by transferring the demands/requirements from the market and customers into a product strategy.
  • You contribute to overall business strategy and derive product strategy from this. Hence you are responsible for the continuous improvement of the entire PLM process.
  • You co-ordinate the process of communication and the flow of information between the involved parties during the life time of a product
  • You ensure by adequate processes and means the delivery of products and involve all important aspects.
  • Furthermore, you define and monitor time schedules, budget and resource allocation between functions involved in product lifecycle management.
  • You define requirements for the Service solution and work interactively with the development team to specify the project plans.
  • In these function you will collaborate closely with Stakeholder of the important departments for your task.

Your profile

  • The role requires a degree level in a relevant discipline and at least three years’ experience in Product Management in an industrial products or services  environment
  • You are passionate about the opportunities for new disruptive services enabled by the spread of new digital technology.
  • You are customer orientated with expertise in market segmentation & customer journey mapping
  • You are familiar with current developments in digital B2B Services for engineering solutions,
    g. digital twins, predictive maintenance as well as with the application of contemporary service/product development methods such as service design thinking
  • You possess knowledge of one or more of our customer segments as well as demonstrable success in managing projects.
  • You have excellent social and communicational skills to be able to work and lead in different team constellations globally.
  • You are fluent in English and preferably another language.
