Your responsibilities

thyssenkrupp Aerospace CA is looking for a Machine Operator II. You will apply metal to customer orders and accurately process material according to the work order specifications using advanced machinery accurately. You will ensure that processing equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition. 

To be considered for this Job, you MUST have:

  • high school diploma/ GED
  • 1 to 2 years machine operation experience
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs
  • Perform basic math skills
  • Use of hand held measuring tools

We HIGHLY prefer candidates who have:

  • Previous warehouse experience - especially in the metals industry
  • Previous forklift experience
  • Computer literate

 

Your profile

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Setting up, operating, and maintaining waterjet, cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
  • Pulling, inspecting and verifying product before processing.
  • Properly and safely setting up equipment to run material to set up note specifications.
  • Processing set up notes according to work order specifications.
  • Verifying that product meets set up note specifications per written work instructions and record measurements (sampling plan).
  • Communicating with appropriate sales representative regarding changes/clarification to orders
  • Making recommendations to improve processes in the manufacturing area.
  • Performing equipment preventive maintenance.
  • Properly entering/deleting material identification tags per written instructions
  • Balancing the immediate workload recognizing when help is needed and when to be the team player to dig right in and assist or direct others.
  • Assisting in the packaging of material per written work instructions and work orders.
  • Maintaining issued measurement equipment in working condition
  • Properly operating weighing scale and record inspection measurements
  • Identifying, recording, and segregating scrap and any non-conforming material
  • Providing feedback to supervision regarding machine efficiency and product quality.
  • Performing quality checks during machine operation to insure proper function
  • Complete production/productivity logs and reconcile production data
